THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Exfoliate 2-3 times a week between waxes until 24 hours before your appointment
Moisturize daily with a gentle moisturizer except for the day of your appointment
Arrive to your appointment free of lotions, potions, deodrants, & body oils for a better wax
Avoid wearing tight clothing to your appointment
Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! Drinking water can make for a smooth result

Arrive 10-15 minutes early for paperwork
Pause the use of all AHA's, BHA's, Retinoids 7-14 days before your wax
Grow hair to 1/4th inch in length for the wax to be able to grip
No saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, exercising, or sweating for 24-48 hours after your wax
Avoid exfoliation in the area for 48 hours
Wear loose, breathable clothing
Avoid lotions, potions, deoderants, & body oils for 24 hours
Rebook your next appointment for 4-6 weeks (when hair is the length of a grain of rice or about 1/4th inch)
Q: How long will my skin be smooth after my wax?
A: It varies client to client depending on things like how fast your hair grows & being consistent with waxing appointments but generally you should plan to come for your next wax when your hair is 1/4th inch which is between 4-6 weeks for most clients.
Q: Why do I have stubble after getting a wax?
A: Our hair grows in 4 phases so it takes around 3-4 waxes on a regular schedule to get the hairs to be in the same phase which is how we acheive smooth skin, so some stubble after your first few waxes is normal.
Q: Will my hair grow back after waxing?
A: Yes, mostly. Waxing can result in hair growing back thinner and finer over time and waxing in the same area repeatedly can lead to hair reduction in area.
Q: What if I am on my period during a bikini/brazilian wax?
A: No worries! You may be more sensitive shortly before, during, and after your period so you may experience a little more discomfort during your wax and you will need to wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup during your appointment.
Q: Does getting waxed hurt?
A: The truth is... it can be uncomfortable, especially the first couple of times but most clients would agree the benefits and joy of the results generally overshadow the small amount of discomfort during your wax.
Q: Do you provide Manzilian waxes?
A: We apologize for any inconvinence, but we do not offer Manzilian waxing at this time.
A little about me...
Hi! I'm Brittany, owner & operator of Skindulgence Esthetics.
I am a licensed Master Esthetician and licensed Esthetics Instructor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I graduated from The Chrysm Institute of Esthetics in 2019.
Owning an esthetics business has been a dream of mine since I learned the word "Esthetician" many years ago. It feels amazing to see this dream from so many years ago come to reality.
I enjoy offering body waxing at this time and I am super excited to be adding facial treatments and skincare to the menu very soon!
I would love to chat if you have any questions or if you'd like to book. Thanks for stopping by!
